I spoke to Rhona Lonergan, Amy O'Donoghue and Sarah Murray from St. Andrew's College in Booterstown. Finally, I spoke to Orla Tyrell, Michelle Healy and Anna Forde and to their teacher Crona McCarthy from Pobalscoil na Tríonóide in Youghal.

Síle uses a pastoral care perspective to reflect on matters related to school attendance, discipline and suspension as a sanction for misbehaviour. The interview was based on Gene's presentation to primary principals at the annual conference of the Irish Primary Principals' Network. Barry examines the area of mock exams for Junior Cert and Leaving Cert students.

I also spoke to Lisa Curran, a teacher in Donabate Community College and to Mícheál Martin, leader of Fianna Fáil who was visiting the BT Young Scientists Exhibition.

Through these and other programmes, he introduced Irish people, including teachers, to some of the most inspirational thinkers and communicators on education. Some of what he learned on those programmes has been compiled in his book, The Curious Mind, published by Veritas. In this, the second part of my interview with John Quinn, he talks about his journey out of the classroom and into RTE. He discusses educational broadcasting and identifies some of the educators who inspired him during his distinguished career as a broadcaster.
