Thérese Dooley was a keynote speaker at the MEI conference in September and the piece was broadcast this week to coincide with the end of Maths Week. Sinéad Burke reviewed a book written by DES inspector Dr. John White and Queen's University Professor John Gardner, titled The Classroom X-Factor: The Role of Body Language and Non-verbal Communication in Teaching.

On this week's programme he speaks to Jude Cosgrove of the Educational Research Centre and to Professor Svein Sjoberg of the University of Oslo. I speak to Annie Murphy of the Marino Institute of Education who remembers Dorothy Heathcote, a major figure in drama education who passed away recently. Dr. Erika Doyle of Trinity College Dublin provides an introductory guide to how standardised tests are devised.
