Presented and produced by Seán Delaney John Quinn presented The Open Mind and Education Forum on RTE Radio 1 in the 1980s and 1990s. Through these and other programmes, he introduced Irish people, including teachers, to some of the most inspirational thinkers and communicators on education. Some of what he learned on those programmes has been compiled in his book, The Curious Mind, published by Veritas. In this, the second part of my interview with John Quinn, he talks about his journey out of the classroom and into RTE. He discusses educational broadcasting and identifies some of the educators who inspired him during his distinguished career as a broadcaster.

In that time he elicited insights into education from some of the greatest living thinkers in the area. On this first of a two-part interview, he shares his own insights into education gained from his time as a teacher and from his time as anchor of The Open Mind and Education Forum. Some of what he learned on those programmes has been compiled in his book, The Curious Mind, published by Veritas.
