Book Review by Sinéad Burke

On this week's programme, Dr. Thérese Dooley, from St. Patrick's College, Drumcondra, explained how and why children can learn more mathematics when the teacher doesn't tell. Thérese Dooley was a keynote speaker at the MEI conference in September and the piece was broadcast this week to coincide with the end of Maths Week.

Sinéad Burke reviewed a book written by DES inspector Dr. John White and Queen's University Professor John Gardner, titled The Classroom X-Factor: The Role of Body Language and Non-verbal Communication in Teaching.
