On this programme Dr. Paul Andrews from the University of Cambridge Faculty of Education discussed the role of culture in mathematics teaching and learning. In particular, he claimed that Finland might not be the best role model for improving mathematics teaching in Ireland. Paul Andrews was in Dublin to deliver a keynote address at MEI4, a mathematics education conference organised by St. Patrick's College, Drumcondra.
