This programme features the first of a two-part interview with the recently retired General Secretary of the Irish National Teachers Organisation (INTO), John Carr. In the interview he talks about his days as a teacher and principal in Belgrove National School in Clontarf.

Barry provides an analysis of the results of the teachers' ballots on the Croke Park agreement. He also discusses the proposal by the ASTI to provide an internship in schools for beginning post-primary teachers.
